Flagship engagement

Engineering Improvement Program

Find the constraint. Change the system. Verify the outcome.

A focused advisory program for software companies and engineering leaders who need meaningful improvement in delivery flow, reliability or engineering effectiveness—not another report that sits on a shelf.

When to consider it

The team is busy. The system isn’t improving.

SIGNAL 01

Slow feedback and delivery

Pipelines, code review, releases or coordination produce avoidable waiting and delays.

Discuss this issue →

SIGNAL 02

Unpredictable outcomes

Planning and delivery keep diverging, and it isn’t obvious which process or dependency drives the gap.

SIGNAL 03

Tools without impact

Investment in developer tooling, platform engineering or AI adoption is growing without clear benefits.

What happens during the program

From evidence to verified change.

01 / OBSERVE

Establish the baseline

Agree the engineering flow, goals, relevant signals and data quality.

Explore our approach →

02 / DIAGNOSE

Identify the constraint

Separate symptoms from candidate causes; test the explanations with engineering leaders.

Explore our approach →

03 / PRIORITIZE

Build the Key Initiative Plan

Choose one bounded improvement objective with assumptions, ownership, risks and review criteria.

Explore our approach →

04 / GUIDE

Advance the intervention

Work with the client’s team to coordinate decisions, reviews, practices and the improvement playbook.

Explore our approach →

05 / VERIFY

Evaluate the impact

Compare observations with the baseline, monitor stability and examine other causes.

Explore our approach →

06 / CONTINUE

Decide what happens next

Document learning and the next highest-priority improvement; continuation is optional.

Deliverables and boundaries

Defined work. Explicit responsibilities.

  • Engineering flow baseline and evidence review for the agreed perimeter.
  • Diagnosis with hypotheses, validation and one prioritized constraint.
  • One executable Key Initiative Plan: objective, changes, owner, sequence and success measures.
  • Scheduled expert working sessions and reviews throughout a typically 6–10 week program.
  • Outcome review with remaining risks, observed changes and recommended next steps.

The client team remains responsible for production changes and delivery. New code, infrastructure implementation, deep security audits, extra workstreams and third-party licensing are not automatically included.

Indicative investment model

Transparent pricing that scales with scope.

Starting investment: €15,000 + VAT for a focused flow involving up to 15 engineers, up to two teams and one principal development platform. Scope increment: €350 per engineer involved above 15, up to 40.

For 20 in-scope engineers, the illustrative fee would be €16,750. More than 40 engineers, multiple engineering streams, separate business units or substantial integration complexity require a tailored scope. Team size is not the only pricing dimension.

The formula describes the standard scope, not an automatic quote for complex organizations. Fees exclude VAT. The final investment, timetable, participants and implementation boundaries are confirmed in writing.

Common questions

Clear expectations before you begin.

Do we need to buy the Diagnostic first?

No. If the improvement objective is clear, the Program includes the necessary initial diagnosis and baseline.

Will Axelerant implement changes in our codebase?

Not by default. The Program is expert-led advisory and coordinated improvement. Technical implementation can be scoped separately with the client’s team or an appropriate delivery partner.

Do you guarantee a percentage improvement?

No. We agree measurable success criteria and carry out the defined work, but outcomes depend on the constraint, data quality and the client’s ability to implement change.

Can we continue after the program?

Yes, through the optional Improvement Partnership.
