Historical case study

This account describes the engagement at the time of the original Italian publication. Historical service names and client roles are retained.

Context

Guanxi is a network of companies specializing in revenue services. Its initiatives include Guilds42, a digital learning platform for young people and businesses.

Alberto Giusti, CEO of Guanxi, engaged Axelerant’s Fractional CTO service for external expertise in structuring Guilds42’s Learning Management System.

Challenge

Guilds42 had grown in users, courses and architectural complexity. At the time of the original account, it offered almost 300 courses. The challenge was to introduce new components while integrating systems built previously by different people.

“We needed to understand how best to structure and evolve our architecture. It is a continuous innovation process that involves creating a new system and integrating the old ones. We wanted to improve time-to-market and cost efficiency, and Alex gave us invaluable help.”

Alberto Giusti — translated from Italian

Approach

Axelerant provided external CTO guidance, led by Alex Pagnoni. The engagement drew on his more than 20 years of IT experience, as described in the original case study.

The work started with analysis of the existing architecture and the requirements for the next version of the Learning Management System.

Outcomes

The structure of the new Learning Management System was defined around three objectives: improve time-to-market, increase cost efficiency, and manage a complex platform with many users and substantial content.

Continuous discussion and collaboration were central to the engagement. These objectives describe the design direction; the original account does not provide quantified improvements against a measured baseline.

Contesto

  • Migliorare il time to market;
  • Aumentare l’efficienza sul fronte dei costi;
